ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE – Riphah International University has significantly bolstered its international standing at the prestigious Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2026). Represented by Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan, Riphah played a pivotal role in showcasing Pakistan’s academic potential while securing landmark agreements that span three continents.
As part of a distinguished delegation from the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan joined 17 leading Pakistani universities at the historic Pakistan Pavilion, which was formally inaugurated by Khawaja Khurram Naeem, Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul.
The summit proved to be a turning point for Riphah’s global outreach, resulting in the formal signing of nine Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements pave the way for enhanced research collaboration, faculty exchange, and student mobility across diverse regions:
- Bulgaria (4): Established the first-ever institutional engagements between Riphah and Bulgarian academia.
- Türkiye (2): Strengthened existing regional ties with key Turkish institutions.
- Romania (1): Marked a historic first for Riphah in the Romanian educational sector.
- Brazil (1): Expanded the university's academic footprint into South America.
- Palestine (1): Solidified a commitment to advancing academic collaboration with Palestinian institutions.
In addition to the signed agreements, Riphah is actively finalizing four additional deals with partners in Türkiye (2), Germany (1), and Uzbekistan (1). Discussions are also underway for four further collaborations within Türkiye, ensuring a sustained growth trajectory for the university’s international network.
Beyond partnerships, a significant outcome of the summit was the finalization of a Venture Capital Fund. This initiative is designed to foster innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurial growth within Pakistan’s higher education landscape, bridging the gap between local talent and global investment.
Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan engaged in high-level strategic discussions focusing on elevating academic standards through global cooperation.
