New Collaboration with FPCCI to Boost Careers, Research, and Sustainability Initiatives
Wednesday, 1st April 2026
Riphah International University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) on 1st April 2026. The purpose of this collaboration is to strengthen academia–industry linkages, promote collaborative research, and advance initiatives related to sustainability and a clean & green environment.
The MoU was signed by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, along with Mr. Aamir Imtiaz (Head, Career Placements, SSD), representing Riphah International University, and Mr. Karim Aziz Malik (Chairman, Capital Office FPCCI), Mr. Muhammad Raziq (Vice President FPCCI), and Mr. Malik Sohail Hussain (Chairman Coordination, FPCCI), representing FPCCI.
This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices by creating structured opportunities for student engagement, research collaboration, and professional development. Through this initiative, Riphah students will benefit from enhanced access to internships, job placements, and industry exposure through FPCCI’s extensive network, while FPCCI will benefit from the University’s research expertise. A key component of the MoU is the joint implementation of initiatives under the “Clean & Green Rawalpindi & Islamabad” framework, focusing on sustainability, environmental awareness, and community engagement.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Karim Aziz Malik emphasized the importance of academia-industry collaboration in addressing economic challenges and developing a skilled workforce aligned with industry needs. He also highlighted opportunities for the University’s participation in foreign delegation platforms and engagements. Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting research and providing guidance in identifying key challenges in areas such as energy resources, services, environment, and engagement with foreign investors and traders.
Under the agreement, FPCCI will facilitate industry linkages, provide expert engagement, and support coordination for environmental initiatives, while SSD-Riphah will mobilize students, organize engagement platforms such as job fairs and recruitment drives, and contribute research-based insights to support industry practices and policy advocacy.
