Thursday, 26th February 2026
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship Development (CEID) at Riphah International University organized a specialized training session titled “Teacherpreneurship: Training Educators to Build Leaders” on 26 February 2026 at the Raiwind Campus (Auditorium A320). The session was designed for the Faculty of Computing and Management Sciences and aimed to strengthen the integration of entrepreneurial thinking within academic instruction.
The training featured Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Rector of GIFT University and a globally recognized expert in purpose-driven entrepreneurship. Having received professional training from renowned institutions including Babson College, the Darden School of Business, and LUMS, Dr. Qureshi shared valuable insights from his signature E+ Model, which combines effectuation, social responsibility, and nation-building. This model has been implemented across more than 20 countries, promoting entrepreneurship as a tool for sustainable development.
During the session, participants explored key themes designed to help educators mentor students toward adopting a startup mindset and entrepreneurial leadership. Discussions focused on aligning curriculum with human nature, encouraging creativity through the integration of global case studies, Allama Iqbal’s philosophy, and ethical principles. Faculty members also gained insights into developing a startup mindset, identifying viable business ideas with social and commercial impact, and guiding students in professional pitching techniques.
Another important component of the session highlighted the dynamics of success and failure in entrepreneurial ventures, enabling educators to better prepare students for real-world challenges while fostering resilience and innovative thinking.
The training witnessed active participation from faculty members who are engaged in integrating entrepreneurial concepts within technical and management education. By organizing such initiatives, Riphah International University continues to strengthen its academic ecosystem and reaffirm its commitment to developing graduates who are not only job-ready but also capable of creating employment opportunities through innovation and entrepreneurship.
