ESG Nexus, in collaboration with Riphah International University, officially launched the university’s first Sustainability & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Performance Report at the Gulberg Greens Campus, Islamabad. The landmark initiative reflects Riphah’s growing commitment to sustainability leadership and responsible governance within Pakistan’s higher education sector.

As part of this initiative, Riphah International University announced a bold commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2035, signaling a strategic shift from regulatory compliance toward proactive climate action and institutional accountability. This milestone positions Riphah among the leading universities in Pakistan advancing structured ESG integration and long-term sustainability planning.

The launch ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Aisha Moriani, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.  The Chancellor, Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan outlined the ESG practices already being implemented at Riphah and pledged renewed dedication to working towards a more sustainable society.

Through this initiative, Riphah International University reaffirms its role as a responsible academic institution dedicated to climate leadership, ethical governance, and sustainable development.
