Mr. Amjid Sheikh brings over two decades of progressive leadership experience in Governance, Audit, Risk, and Compliance across prominent organizations in the UAE and Pakistan. As the Director of GARC at Riphah International University, he spearheads strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional governance, enhancing regulatory compliance, and embedding a robust risk management culture. His leadership ensures the university’s operations remain transparent, accountable, and continuously aligned with international standards of excellence.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several high-impact roles, including Head of Compliance at Dubai Properties, Director of Governance at the Engineers Office Dubai, and Executive Director of Audit, Risk, and Compliance at Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA). These roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks, internal control systems, and regulatory oversight in both the public and private sectors.
