Introduction
The academic units of Psychology at Riphah International University are dedicated to exploring the complexities of human behavior, emotions, and mental processes.
Through cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, and practical training, we empower students to understand and address psychological challenges, fostering well-being and resilience in individuals and communities. Our programs emphasize clinical expertise, ethical practices, and a commitment to advancing mental health solutions.
We not only contemporary knowledge of the subject, but also train students in general skills of research and critical thinking. A special attention is being given to their practical skills along with written and oral communication which ultimately helps them to develop their clinical acumen.
Our emphasis is on professional training that facilitates students in the applied areas of the subject; therefore, graduate and undergraduate programs are conducted in collaboration with psychiatric units at teaching hospitals and other educational and business organizations in both the public and private sectors. What makes us distinctive is our adherence to the Islamic values that we incorporate not only in our scheme of studies, but in actual practices and research. We believe that excellence should be achieved in both this world and the hereafter.
Our pedagogy reflect both contemporary, as well as traditional didactic practices. We strive to ensure that students receive a wellrounded and informed perspective on the subject of Psychology. Another, key feature of our program is to provide each student with a mentor who serves as a counselor and guides the student throughout her academic program. The mentor is a member of academic staff who is approachable, with an empathetic vigor to help the students discover solutions for any problem that the student might encounter on campus.
