Introduction
Our journey began in December 2007 with the establishment of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences in Islamabad, operating under the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
Thanks to the remarkable growth and achievements over the years, the Board of Governors (BOGs) of Riphah International University officially approved the creation of the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences (FRAHS) in June 2018. Today, FRAHS stands proudly as a hub of excellence in rehabilitation and allied health sciences, represented by its flagship institution, the Riphah College of Rehabilitation & Allied Health Sciences (RCRAHS).

FRAHS is deeply committed to advancing the fields of rehabilitation and allied health sciences by enhancing knowledge, clinical expertise, and research capabilities. We have played a pivotal role in shaping the national curriculum for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program under the guidance of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Innovative Milestones
- Rehab Certification Board: FRAHS proudly established Pakistan’s first Rehab Certification Board, offering specialized certifications to meet societal needs.
- Clinical Training Excellence: Our institute was the first in the country to introduce the concept of Rehab House Officers, providing paid house job opportunities for DPT graduates. Additionally, we offer a paid Postgraduate Trainee Program in various rehabilitation disciplines.
Research Leadership
Our faculty members regulalry publishes research articles in high-impact journals, contributing significantly to the global body of knowledge. FRAHS also publishes the Journal of Riphah College of Rehabilitation Sciences (JRCRS), a biannual publication recognized by HEC.
