Introduction
Islamic International Dental College (IIDC) was established in the year 2001, to contribute to the community needs of Rawalpindi / Islamabad and the surrounding areas of Pakistan in the field of dentistry.
The college started as a dental section of Islamic International Medical College (IIMC) with 50 admissions annually and it became an independent college later in the year 2006. The college is now accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) for 75 admissions per year.
Mission
Our mission is to provide Pakistan with competent and empathetic dentists, who understand their social and professional responsibilities and practice evidence-based dentistry by exhibiting Islamic ethical values as leaders and members of the community.
The college is offering an undergraduate four-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, followed by a one-year house job. In addition to the undergraduate course, IIDC offers postgraduate courses in departments of Orthodontics, Operative Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Prosthodontics accredited by College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. IIDC also offers MDS program in Orthodontics, Operative Dentistry and M.Phil Dental Material recognized by HEC and PM&DC. The college is housed in its own exclusive building at 7th Avenue, G-7/4, Islamabad, along with a fully equipped dental hospital.
IIDC has been the pioneering institute to start a modern integrated modular curriculum for better learning of its graduates, who have enriched hands-on experience to serve the community needs in the best way. Students are exposed to innovative teaching methods, including problem-based and clinical-based learning, self-study, and early patient interaction.
