Engr. Shifa Maryum is a Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Riphah International University, Islamabad, holding a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, where her research focused on AI-based pulmonary disease detection using lung sound analysis. Her expertise includes biomedical signal and image processing, machine learning in healthcare, and medical device design, with notable achievements leading award-winning projects such as the AI-based stethoscope for pulmonary disease detection and the smart jacket for COPD diagnosis, both securing 1st Positions at AirTech 2024, AI-Innofest 2024 and National Idea Bank National Level 2022.
