Summary / Notes

My career has centered around the biological evaluation of natural and synthetic materials, including hands-on work in 2D/3D cell cultures, stem cell research, and advanced assays involving drug-DNA/protein interactions and tissue adhesion. I have led and supervised cutting-edge projects in cancer chemotherapeutics, Phytoestrogens, neurodegeneration, and biomaterials, collaborating with institutions such as King’s College London, University of Illinois at Chicago, De Montfort University, and the University of Sydney. I am currently leading a team of PhD scholars as a Principal Investigator on HEC-funded projects aimed at investigation of Indigenous flora of Pakistan for phytoestrogens to be combined with chemotherapeutics and as alternate to Hormone Replacement Therapy. I also initiated the idea of establishing a cell culture lab of multidisciplinary nature in collaboration with School of Dentistry and School of Pharmacy not only to develop well recognized disease models and to translate basic research to clinical application.
