I am serving as an Associate Professor in the department of English Linguistics &Literature . I have previously held both academic and administrative positions at renowned institutions, including NUML and AIOU. My academic journey includes a PhD in English (Second Language Acquisition), a Post-Doctoral Diploma, and several advanced qualifications in English Linguistics, Futuristic Studies, and Digital Pedagogy obtained from institutions in Canada, the USA, and Pakistan.
I am a pioneer in introducing and teaching Neurolinguistics at the PhD level. I have designed and delivered advanced courses in Neurolinguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Pragmatics, and Museum Linguistics. My current research focuses on the neurocognitive mechanisms of bilingual language switching using neuroimaging data, while my parallel work in Museum Linguistics explores language, identity, and cultural representation in educational and heritage contexts. Recently, I organized a poster presentation on Neurolinguistics, where my PhD scholars presented their research through academic posters. These were assessed and evaluated by renowned neurologists, providing valuable interdisciplinary exposure to emerging researchers.
Last year, I presented a research paper on Neurolinguistics in France, representing my university among participants from over 80 countries. I have also been a member of the International Advisory Board of IAFOR (Japan) for the past 15 years, contributing to academic decision-making and various scholarly initiatives. Additionally, I serve as a Board of Studies (BOS) member for four national universities and act as an international examiner for three foreign universities.
My administrative contributions include career planning, chairing the RAS Committee (DELL Model), and serving as Advisor to the Functional English Programme. Furthermore, I recently proposed the establishment of a Day Care Centre for the children of female staff members. This initiative was highly appreciated by the Campus Director and Vice Chancellor, who entrusted the Department of English with the responsibility of overseeing the project.
As a leader in technology-enabled learning since 2014, I have developed innovative digital teaching models and learning management systems to support blended and online education using platforms such as Moodle, Zoom, MS Teams, and Adobe Connect. My scholarly contributions include five academic books, along with numerous international conference presentations in the UK, Japan, Turkey, and other countries. I have also received several honors, including the Best Presentation Award at ICALLTM (UK).
Beyond academia, I am an award-winning poet with over 1,100 published poems. My literary work reflects deep engagement with themes of resilience, identity, and human transformation, reinforcing my belief in the transformative power of language as both a scholarly and creative force.
