Dr. Muhammad Waseem is a Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences, Riphah International University, Almizan campus, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine, awarded under the HEC Exchange Scholarship Program, during which he conducted advanced research at the esteemed Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), part of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Pakistan, and the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Dr. Waseem is American Society for Clinical pathology (ASCP) Certified in Molecular Diagnostics and has extensive postdoctoral research experience. He has worked at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Research, Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, and has served as an Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Biotechnology and Microbiology, University of Swat, Pakistan. He further honed his expertise as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting PhD Scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ontario, Canada. With a strong foundation in molecular and regenerative medicine, Dr. Waseem has made significant contributions to the field of stem cell research, with a particular focus on the regenerative potential of bone marrow-derived stem cells in reversing diabetes. His research has been published in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented his findings at numerous national and international conferences, including the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Conferences.
