Raja Mansoor Nasir is the founding director of Riphah Institute of Media Sciences established in 2006.
He brings with him over 15 years of practical experience in media industry, in the field of production.He has produced a number of innovative programmes at Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) and has also worked for CNN World Report as a part of Image Pakistan Project..
Introduction
Riphah Institute of Media Sciences (RIMS) a constituent institute of International University (RIU), Islamabad is established with the aim to produce leaders in the field of media production, media education and research in the region. Various programmes are designed for Capacity Building and Human Resource Development in order to equip Pakistani students with necessary knowledge and skills needed for professional career. The university programmes on one end are providing the students an opportunity to explore latest and most modern technological advancements of west while on the other end it triggers the minds of our pupil to compare western thoughts with Islamic heritage.
RIMS programmes are tailored to the changing needs of society and relevant to the goals of our students. Specialization is offered to enable the students develop particular skills and abilities in one or more academic disciplines. Institute of Media Sciences (RIMS) will address itself to this complex task of conducting research with the audience on programming and its effectiveness. It will encourage and popularize the concept of mass media and will train media researchers to aid better TV programming. RIMS also aims at producing Research Graduates rigorously educated in theoretical concepts and research methods.
Collaboration With University Of Bedfordshire, U.K 
Dynamic features of Institute of Media Sciences (RIMS) offers unique blend of east and west in the form of collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire UK (UOB). RIMS has close affiliation with Department of Art & Design of UOB which is ranked 3rd in United Kingdom. Every year two faculty members of UOB, UK visit RIMS and take regular classes and training sessions to help students develop futuristic and professional outlook on media functions.
With the launching of the undergraduate programmes in January 2007, the university plans to provide conducive environment for learning as well as research and development in Media Sciences leading to MS, M. Phil. and Ph. D. This overseas partnership will allow the graduates of Institute of Media Sciences to benefit from the expertise of regular faculty from the University of Bedfordshire. The students will also have a choice to spend final two (2) years at UOB.

Institute of Media Sciences has established TV studios equipped with digital cameras, professional lighting grid, control room, sound system. Post production with non-linear apple macintosh editing suites. An effort has been made to ensure that the students at RIMS experience similar standard of education as they would at University of Bedfordshire. Teaching Methodology
The faculty of University of Bedfordshire will be continuously involved in teaching and mentoring students at RIMS even during the first two years of their studies in Pakistan. Delivery of lectures takes place on state of the art equipment and software . Students are provided access to the online library resources of the University of Bedfordshire through Breo.

The International University has signed an agreement with the University of Bedfordshire, UK formerly known as the University of Luton. The collaboration with the Media, Arts and Design Department of the University of Bedfordshire enables our students to earn the degrees of the University of Bedfordshire as well as International University and simultaneously benefit from the resources and expertise of the two universities.
